A Unit Price Calculator helps you calculate unit prices and compare package sizes on the same basis. You can compare the price per item, per liter, per 100 g, per 1,000 g, per wash load, per sheet, or another useful unit.
The calculator always uses the same formula:
Value ÷ Quantity × Target quantity
Target quantity 1 calculates the value per unit. A target quantity such as 100 or 1,000 normalizes the result to a shared comparison amount. You can also enter any other positive target quantity.
The calculator is especially useful when products have different package sizes, item counts, or contents. Instead of comparing only the total price, you can convert both offers to the same basis.
Some products provide more than one quantity level. Toilet paper, for example, may specify both the number of rolls and the number of sheets per roll. You can calculate these cases one step at a time.
First calculate the value for the first quantity level. You can then copy that intermediate result and use it as the Value for the next calculation.
Recent calculations keep your latest calculation paths and results visible. You can copy individual results and use them as new values when needed.
The calculator intentionally remains unit-neutral. You decide whether your entries represent euros, liters, grams, items, wash loads, sheets, or something else, so the same calculator works for many different products.
These examples show how to use the Unit Price Calculator for common everyday products.
